The investment seeks capital appreciation while seeking to limit short-term risk. Under normal circumstances, the fund invests in a portfolio of equity securities of companies that are representative of the S&P 500 Index or in exchange-traded funds ("ETFs") that are designed to replicate the performance of the index or whose holdings are representative of the index. It simultaneously uses options on ETFs in which the fund may invest and invests in ETFs that invest in debt securities and U.S. Treasury securities to enhance its potential returns during up markets while seeking to limit losses during down markets.
