Bitdeer Technologies Group operates from Singapore with two linked lines of business: Bitcoin mining infrastructure and AI neocloud services. It manages self-mining, hash-rate sharing, and hosting while developing its own SEALMINER hardware. The company has also built out AI and high-performance computing capacity as a preferred NVIDIA Cloud Partner, with sites in the United States, Norway, Bhutan, Ethiopia, and Malaysia. BTDR therefore offers exposure to both the Bitcoin cycle and rising demand for AI compute, backed by a vertically integrated approach to power, data centers, and equipment.
Over the last 30 days, BTDR fell approximately 31%, moving from a close near $10.90 in late September to about $7.52. Intraday prices reached a 52-week low near $6.82 on October 23, with the move largely one-directional aside from brief, unsustained rebounds.
The three-month view shows more volatility. Shares rose from a late-July level near $8.90 to a mid-September peak of roughly $13.14 on September 21 before reversing sharply. By late October the stock had erased those quarterly gains and finished down about 15% from its late-July starting point, even as operational updates remained positive.
The drop stemmed mainly from sentiment and profitability worries rather than any slowdown in operations. Investors focused on ongoing net losses and heavy capital spending even as the AI-cloud story advanced. Short interest near 37% of the float added steady selling pressure, while higher Treasury yields weighed on rate-sensitive AI and crypto names. I also checked this using Tickeron’s AI Screener to see how the stock compares to others in the industry.
Positive operational news appeared during the period. In mid-October, Bitdeer reported a 200% year-over-year rise in September Bitcoin production to about 1,355 BTC and an AI Cloud revenue backlog of roughly $2.9 billion, up from $0.9 billion in August. New data-center agreements in Malaysia and a long-term lease at the Tydal, Norway campus were also announced. Shares reacted positively at first but later gave ground as attention shifted to the fact that much of the backlog involves facilities still under development. Analyst notes stayed supportive, with H.C. Wainwright reiterating a Buy and $25 target and Cantor Fitzgerald keeping an Overweight rating.
Over the quarter, BTDR price action reflected tension between the AI-infrastructure narrative and near-term financial realities. The mid-September rally followed announcements for the A201, A103, and A901 facilities in Malaysia plus a 16-year lease at Tydal valued at about $4.7 billion, with potential to reach $8 billion. These moves prompted several analyst initiations and upgrades.
The reversal that followed highlighted concerns about execution and funding. Second-quarter revenue rose 47% year over year to $228.78 million, yet the net loss widened to $92.28 million. Heavy ongoing investment in build-outs, combined with Bitcoin volatility and pressure from rising yields on high-beta, unprofitable names, left the stock vulnerable.
The November 10, 2026 third-quarter earnings release stands out as the next major catalyst. Investors will focus on revenue, cash burn, AI-cloud backlog conversion, and data-center energization timelines. Progress at facilities such as A102, A201, and the larger Malaysia campus, along with recurring AI-cloud revenue trends, will receive close attention. Bitcoin price movements and mining economics remain central to the core business, while execution risk, debt levels, and additional funding needs stay relevant given the capital-spending pace. Macro factors, including interest rates and risk appetite for growth-oriented names, will continue to influence sentiment.
