FTAI Aviation has positioned itself as a key provider of aftermarket power solutions for the CFM56 and V2500 engines that dominate narrow-body commercial aircraft. With new aircraft deliveries sold out well into the 2030s, airlines continue to extend the life of their existing fleets, which in turn drives steady demand for the company’s maintenance, repair, and exchange services. The latest results offer a useful checkpoint on whether the Aerospace Products segment can maintain its scaling trajectory, how the Strategic Capital Initiative partnerships are translating into revenue, and whether investments in the FTAI Power business are beginning to show results without pressuring margins.
For the third quarter ended September 30, 2026, FTAI Aviation reported total revenue of $977.7 million, a 46.6% increase from $667.1 million in the prior-year period. Net income attributable to shareholders reached $149.1 million, or $1.45 per basic share and $1.43 per diluted share, compared with $114.0 million, or $1.10 per diluted share, a year earlier.
Adjusted EBITDA climbed to $348.3 million, up 17% from $297.4 million in Q3 2025 and ahead of consensus expectations near $319 million. Aerospace Products stood out with $910 million of segment revenue (up 76%) and $282.4 million of adjusted EBITDA, a 57% year-over-year gain at a 31% margin. Aviation Leasing contributed $104 million of adjusted EBITDA. Management reaffirmed its 2026 and 2027 adjusted EBITDA guidance across all business lines. To cross-check the sector backdrop, I also checked this using Tickeron’s AI Screener.
Shares of FTAI Aviation moved higher after the release, reportedly gaining around 8% as investors focused on the EBITDA beat and the capital-return announcements even though revenue came in slightly below some consensus figures. Attention centered on the strength in Aerospace Products, the record CFM56 module production, and the initial deployment of capital from the SCI II vehicle. The accelerated share repurchase and doubled authorization underscored management confidence and helped balance concerns about lower Aviation Leasing EBITDA year over year and continued investment in the FTAI Power platform.
Attention will now turn to whether FTAI Aviation can sustain Aerospace Products momentum. Management has guided to a roughly 30% adjusted EBITDA margin in the near term and has outlined an ambition to expand margins toward 40% as lower-cost parts and in-house repair capabilities scale. Continued growth in CFM56 module output remains a central lever.
The ramp of the Strategic Capital Initiative will also be important. With SCI II now active and a combined pipeline of 410 aircraft closed or under letter of intent across SCI I and SCI II, the pace at which commitments convert into servicing fees and co-investment returns will influence leasing-segment results.
Finally, the FTAI Power business is approaching a key inflection point. The Mod-1 aeroderivative turbine has cleared critical testing, producing 25 megawatts at peak output, and the company reports more than 100 units under contract for 2027 and 2028. Execution on first deliveries, production costs, and the associated free-cash-flow impact will be closely monitored.
In my research process I occasionally use Tickeron’s AI Screener to quickly filter peers and spot comparable patterns across the aerospace aftermarket space. It helps surface ideas that might otherwise take hours to identify manually and serves as a useful complement when reviewing quarterly results like these.
