New Age Beverages Corp recently announced that the company would nationally expand its Marley brand beverages as it joins hand with the grocery giant Walmart.
For the Colorado and Utah-based organic and natural beverage company, the distribution expansion marks the first ever national account penetration. After acquiring the Marley Brand in 2017, the company went ahead to make it one of its leading brands that include Organic Marley Mate and Marley Cold Brew.
Marley Mate is replacement beverage for natural organic energy drinks. With its low sugar, calorie, and carbohydrate content, it outperformed all its competitors in 2018, hence attracting the attention of Walmart. All three flavors are now available at Walmart stores.
This expansion is important for the beverage maker, as intending to become the world’s leading healthy beverages and lifestyles company after the Marley brand saw a 70% increase in demand last year. Following the upsurge in demand, it decided to develop a line of CBD-infused beverages under the Marley brand, called Marley + CBD.
CBD infused products were legalized last December and this market has the potential to reach $260 million by 2022.
