The investment seeks to provide inflation protection and income, primarily through investment in inflation-linked bonds. Under normal circumstances, the fund’s sub-adviser, Nuveen Asset Management, LLC (“Nuveen Asset Management”), invests at least 80% of the fund’s assets in fixed-income securities whose principal value increases or decreases based on changes in the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (“CPI-U”), over the life of the security (“inflation-indexed bonds”). Typically, the fund will invest in U.S. Treasury Inflation-Indexed Securities (“TIIS”).
