CoinShares PLC is a Jersey-based global asset manager focused on digital assets. Founded in 2013 and listed on Nasdaq under the ticker CSHR in April 2026 via a combination with Vine Hill Capital Investment Corp., the firm operates in Asset Management, Capital Markets, and Principal Investments.
Its offerings include CoinShares Physical exchange-traded products, Valkyrie funds, XBT Provider vehicles, a Bitcoin Mining ETF, and blockchain index strategies. Revenue comes mainly from recurring management fees tied to assets under management, which topped $6 billion at listing and reached about $7.4 billion by the end of 2025. I see CSHR as a listed proxy for digital asset markets because of its fee-sensitive model and standing as one of Europe’s larger crypto-focused managers.
Over the past 30 days, CSHR has fallen approximately 23%, moving from a closing price near $4.97 on September 30 to around $3.80 in the most recent session. The drop was uneven, with shares testing lower levels in mid-October before a modest rebound and then renewed pressure.
The three-month view shows a full round-trip. From roughly $4.27 in late July, the stock climbed above $6.00 in early September before reversing sharply. From that peak, shares have fallen roughly 37%, erasing the summer gains and leaving the stock modestly below its starting point for the quarter. I also checked this using Tickeron’s AI Trend Prediction Engine to gauge how the recent pattern compares with historical moves in similar names.
Several factors weighed on CSHR over the past month. Softer Bitcoin and Ethereum prices, along with the hotter September CPI print that raised expectations for tighter policy, pressured digital-asset equities broadly, including peers such as Coinbase (COIN) and MARA Holdings (MARA).
Company-specific items added pressure. First-half 2026 revenue came in at about $51.4 million, down from $80 million a year earlier, and the firm posted an operating loss as lower asset prices reduced management fees. Wall Street Zen downgraded the shares to “Sell” in mid-October, and filings showed a director and large shareholder selling shares in early-to-mid October.
The $40 million share repurchase announcement also drew attention. Funded by selling Ethereum holdings and half of the Solana position, the buyback indicated management’s view on valuation, yet some investors saw the shift from treasury assets to equity as a sign of the challenging crypto environment.
The quarter began with positive momentum. CoinShares listed its first Bitcoin Mining ETF on Deutsche Börse Xetra in early July, reported positive net inflows, and saw assets under management recover from about $5.5 billion at the end of June to roughly $6.9 billion by the end of August. That helped push shares toward their early-September high.
The reversal followed cooling crypto sentiment and a wider de-rating of digital-asset equities as macro concerns grew. Weaker first-half results, insider sales, and the analyst downgrade reinforced the downtrend, and the stock gave back its summer gains even after the buyback news late in the period.
Several items will influence CSHR in the coming months. Third-quarter 2026 results are due November 18 and should offer an updated view on revenue, fee margins, and asset flows. Monthly assets-under-management and net-flow updates will stay key, given the direct link between fees and asset levels.
Digital asset prices remain the main swing factor, with Bitcoin and Ethereum moves, Federal Reserve expectations, and inflation data all able to shift sentiment. Analysts maintain a consensus “Buy” rating with an average price target near $9, and Keefe, Bruyette & Woods has kept an Outperform rating. Progress on U.S. expansion, new product launches, and buyback execution are also worth tracking.
