Entera Bio Ltd. is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company based in Jerusalem, Israel, that develops orally delivered peptide and protein therapies intended to replace injectable options. Its proprietary N-Tab® platform aims to support once-daily oral tablet delivery of large-molecule drugs for conditions where convenience and compliance have long favored injections.
The most advanced candidate, EB613 (oral PTH(1-34)), targets osteoporosis as a potential first oral bone-building tablet. A Phase 2 study achieved its primary and secondary endpoints, and the company is now preparing a Phase 3 registrational program. The pipeline also features EB612 for hypoparathyroidism, EB618 as a GLP-1/glucagon dual agonist for obesity and metabolic disorders, and an oral GLP-2 candidate for short bowel syndrome developed with OPKO Health. As a pre-revenue biotech, Entera draws attention mainly for clinical progress and its capacity to fund later-stage work.
Over the last 30 days, ENTX advanced about 13.8%, moving from a September 28 close of $2.69 to $3.06 by the October 27 close. The move was not steady: shares dipped to a low near $2.45 early in October before recovering through the latter part of the month and finishing near the upper end of the recent range.
The quarterly view shows a sharper shift. Entering late July the stock traded near $2.05. The $275 million private placement announced on July 27 lifted shares sharply, and the price has since moved in a broad band between roughly $2.45 and $3.47. From late-July levels around $2, the stock has gained approximately 49% for the quarter even after easing from its late-August peak near $3.47. This re-rating stems largely from the financing rather than fresh clinical data.
The 13.8% gain over the past month stems mainly from governance and leadership steps that bolster confidence in the Phase 3 strategy. On October 6 the company added Laura Hamill, a former Gilead Sciences and Amgen executive with more than 35 years of commercial experience, to its board. On October 27 Entera named Dr. Juan Camilo Arjona Ferreira, Head of Research & Development and Chief Medical Officer at Organon & Co., as a director effective December 1; his late-stage and regulatory background in women’s health aligns directly with EB613 and EB612.
Earlier in the month, on October 8, Entera shared more details on the planned Phase 3 registrational trial design for EB613. These updates, together with the stabilized financing position, helped ease dilution concerns that had weighed on the stock early in October and supported the recovery into late October. I also checked this using Tickeron’s AI Screener to see how the stock compares to others in the industry.
The quarter’s key event was Entera’s $275 million oversubscribed private placement announced July 27 and priced at $2.04 per share. Led by existing investor BVF Partners with participation from Longitude Capital, Vivo Capital, TCGX, RA Capital Management, Perceptive Advisors, and other healthcare-focused funds, the financing is expected to support EB613’s Phase 3 program through an anticipated New Drug Application submission and extend the runway into 2030.
The announcement produced a sharp single-day repricing, with shares moving from around $2.05 to an intraday high above $4 before settling. In the following weeks investors weighed the funding’s strategic value against notable share dilution, resulting in the elevated yet volatile trading range observed since. The quarter’s story centers on a de-risked balance sheet and broader institutional support, offset by the execution risk typical of a pre-revenue, Phase 3-stage biotech.
Looking ahead, the primary catalyst remains execution of EB613’s Phase 3 registrational program, including trial start, enrollment progress, and any interim readouts. Investors should also track advancement of EB612 into Phase 1 under the OPKO Health collaboration and early updates on the metabolic and GLP-2 programs.
Corporate matters matter as well. The October board appointments take effect in December, and a special shareholder meeting scheduled for late November will address equity-plan amendments and executive retention awards tied to the July financing. Macroeconomic and sector conditions, including biotech financing appetite and interest-rate expectations, could shape sentiment. As a pre-revenue company with negative earnings, ENTX stays sensitive to financing news, dilution, and clinical outcomes.
