Chewy posted its quarterly earnings of $0.05 per share, exceeding the Zacks Consensus Estimate of a loss of $0.12 per share. It incurred a loss of $0.04 per share a year ago.
The online pet-products retail company’s revenue was $2.43 billion for the July quarter, was slightly below the $2.45 billion expectations among Wall Street analysts (according to FactSet estimates) .
Chewy’s net sales per active were up 14.4% to $462. The number of autoship customers grew 17.3% to over 1.77 million.
For the current quarter, Chewy expects g revenue in a range of $2.44 billion to $2.46 billion, which below analysts’ forecast of $2.57 billion. Looking further ahead, Chewy projected revenue in the range of $9.9 billion to $10 billion, compared to the $10.25 billion estimate among analysts.
