Telecommunications company Cincinnati Bell  is ready to be  acquired by infrastructure asset management company Brookfield Infrastructure Partners  in a $2.6 billion transaction. According to the agreement, Cincinnati Bell  shareholders will receive $10.50 in cash for each share, at the close of the transaction.The transaction price represents a 36% premium to the closing per share price of $7.72 on Dec. 20 and an 84% premium to the 60-day volume weighted average price. Cincinnati Bell owns and operates a data transmission and distribution network in Cincinnati and Hawaii, catering to more than 1.3 million homes.

Zayo Group shares surged +9.2% during premarket Wednesday, following news of the Fiber network infrastructure company going private. As part of a $14.3 billion deal,  private-equity firms Digital Colony and EQT will pay $35 per share in cash for the company (which marks a 14.3% premium over Zayo's Tuesday closing price) and assume $5.9 billion of debt.Zayo operates a 130,000-mile data network in North America and Europe, spanning thousands of buildings and data centers. For Stockholm-based investment firm EQT, the deal would be its largest transaction in its 25-year history. The deal is expected to close in the first half of 2020, subject to regulatory clearance and approval by Zayo shareholders.  
A Bloomberg report on Friday suggested that preliminary talks were on, although it is still uncertain whether or not the initial interest would develop into a bidding process. Private-equity firms including Blackstone, Stonepeak, KKR, I Squared, GTCR and Charlesbank have also reportedly shown interest in Zayo.Their buyout offers were reportedly in the range of low to mid $30 per share. In pre-market trading on Monday, Zayo shares jumped around +5%.
