Personal computing and printing company HP Inc. reported fiscal first-quarter 2019 revenue, which fell short of analysts’ estimates, The company’s earnings, however, managed to match expectations.
HP Inc.’s sales from its personal systems segment increased +2.3% year-over-year to $9.66 billion in the fiscal first quarter, compared to analysts’ average estimate of $9.74 billion (based on Refinitiv data).Net income of $803 million was lower than the year-ago quarter’s $1.94 billion.
For the full fiscal year 2019, HP Inc, reaffirmed its earnings forecast in the range of $2.12 to $2.22 per share.

Intel is back in favor on Wall Street.
The stock ripped higher on Friday after Morgan Stanley turned bullish on the chipmaker for the first time in seven years, upgrading it to overweight.The firm citing the permanent transition of Robert Swan as CEO, as well as a number of other fundamental developments for its new price target of $64 – which implies more than 24 percent upside from the stock’s current levels.
He also raised price target for Intel stock to $64 a share from $55 a share, while expressing optimism about the chipmaker’s interim CEO Bob Swan, referring to him as “a more financially oriented CEO”.
Swan took over the role of CEO around January-end, following the June 2018 resignation of Brian Krzanich.According to Intel, Krzanich violated Intel's non-fraternization policy. Swan, 58, had served as chief financial officer at eBay Inc. for nine years, before joining Intel in 2016.
With regards to the rating upgrade, Moore also appreciated what he felt was Intel’s increased focus on free cash flow over earnings, alongwith better M&A accretion.

One of the biggest shareholders of Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) said that it sold common shares of the semiconductor company, while planning to convert warrants into equity shares.
On Tuesday, Abu Dhabi’s sovereign wealth fund Mubadala Investment Co. said that it sold 34.9 million common equity shares in AMD.The state-owned fund also mentioned plans to convert 75 million warrants, which would provide $448.5 million to AMD (according to Mubadala Investment).
