The last week of October will likely be extremely busy for shale earnings, as at least 10 energy stocks are scheduled to report their Q3 earning results.
The first three to report after market close on Monday are Continental Resources (CLR, $50.18), Diamondback Energy (FANG, 107.71) and Viper Energy Partners (VNOM, $35.06).
Although the share price of CLR fell in Monday’s trading, as the crude oil futures sell-off continued, analysts are betting big on CLR. Market analysts expect its earnings to soar by 800% to 81 cents per share with revenue to grow by 66.7% to $1.21 billion.
The next favorite amongst the three is VNOM, with analysts expecting its earnings to rise by 63% to 39 cents per share with revenue growing by 86% to $80 million.
The other major scheduled reportings for the week are Anadarko Energy (APC, $55.87) and Concho Resources (CXO, $130.93) on Tuesday. Apache (APA, $ 36.18), Chesapeake Energy (CHK, $3.72) and Cactus Wellhead (WHD, $32.44) to report on Wednesday. EOG Resources (EOG, $102.04) and Parsley Energy (PE, $23.09) to report on Thursday.
